You are to watch a video ( http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/meltdown/ ) and answer the following questions.

Analysis Paper on the Inside the Meltdown documentary

Answer the following questions in the form of a 3-4 page essay based on the video.

a) How did the 2008 financial crisis impact the United States economy?

b) Should a bank who writes a mortgage be able to sell it off and not be responsible for it being paid back? Is there something basicly wrong with this type of practice being allowed?

c) How did the United States government and Federal Reserve react to the financial crisis of 2008 in general? What would have happened if they did nothing?

d) Stockholder in the United States have limited liability, if a corporation goes bankrupt, stockholders are not liable. What impact does this have stockholder’s behavior towards the corporation taking on risk? Is stock similar to a lottery ticket, limited risk (price of the ticket) and potential for a high return but with risk (even high risk)?

Your completed essay should have a title page, use 12 point Times New Roman or Arial font, use citations where applicable, have a reference(s) page, and follow APA format.  Please note that the title and reference(s) pages do not count toward the overall length of the paper.  Submit your assignment through this link in either Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Rich Text File (.rtf) format.
