Tell me about a time that you have handle a situation that involves your resident refusing to take his prescribed medication and how you resolved it.
I work in a health care industry where I assist all residents in administering their daily medications in the community, there was a difficult situation I experienced few months ago, a resident refused taking his prescribed medications, that helps in managing his critical health conditions and this will put his health in serious risk, I knew it really needs urgent attention, and be addressed carefully.
I went to his apartment, talked to him calmly to understand his reasons of refusing his medications and he told me, it makes him dizzy and uncomfortable, I really know it needed to be taken care of, on time and carefully, I comforted him by telling him that his concern is our priority, and I called the charge nurse for the day to explain all that happened and his concern, if adjustment can be made to his medication plan.
The nurse on duty called his doctor and informed the doctor about the resident concern and adjustment was made on the dosage of his medications and the timing was also adjusted, I went to see the resident explained the changes to him and he felt relieved, happy and accept taking his medication as directed, by his doctor, and his health got better and additional complications was avoided, more trust and confident was developed on the medication aide.
This experience underlines the important of essential communication, empathy, and appropriate way of solving problems related to managing medication administration challenges.

Tell me a situation where you encountered a conflict and the steps you took to resolve it and explain how you have impacted your product owner’s decisions regarding the introduction of new items during the sprint.
Answer.
I collaborated with a product owner who frequently introduced new tasks during the sprint, which resulted in the development team facing challenges with multitasking and context switching. Consequently, the team struggled to meet deadlines and accumulated technical debt due to insufficient time for testing our developments. This situation led to a conflict between the team and the product owner, as the team felt they were being pulled in multiple directions while still expected to achieve the same delivery outcomes, creating tension within the group. To address this issue, I held a one-on-one discussion with the product owner to highlight the negative impact on the team. I emphasized that introducing new work mid-sprint should be an exception reserved for true emergencies. I proposed that if new items needed to be added during the sprint, they should replace lower-priority items from the sprint backlog. For instance, if the product owner wished to add four new tasks, we would need to remove an equivalent number of items from the backlog, based on the team’s collective agreement. It was also essential that the team reached a consensus on such decisions. The product owner and the team ultimately agreed to implement these changes. As a result, the product owner improved their planning and prioritization of tasks before bringing them to the team.
