Here is a general outline model. I arbitrarily divided the body into four paragraphs including the background or context section, but you can increase the number of paragraphs as needed. At the end of the essay outline I included a sample Works Cited Section for your information; you should also in in-text citations next to where you note support from outside sources in the outline. b. Make sure to include name of the author and story title
c. A short summary of the story that also leads into the thesis

ii. Support your discussion with appropriate source material from the text and criticism
b. Closing sentence (wrap up the paragraph to effectively transition to the next paragraph)
III. Analysis (Breaks thesis into separate key points which you can then analyze individually. I have constructed a three-part analysis that should relate to the thesis)
