AS Instructions: In “Decision Making for Educational Leaders” (Chapter 3), the authors listed seven features of schools that define and distinguish them as human service organizations:

1. The diverse and ambiguous nature of organizational goals.
2. The low task clarity associated with the organization’s core task (teaching).
3. The extent to which client-control issues are a dominant organizing theme.
4. The decentralizing tendencies and dual authority-control demands reflected in the organizational structure.
5. The stimulus-overload work environment experienced by organizational participants.
6. The strong institutional environment in which the organization is embedded.
7. The vulnerability of the organization to environmental demands.

Choose three features from the list above and write an essay of no more than three pages on how these three features are manifested in your current or former school.
