Compare and contrast the music of chuck berry and Alice Cooper. Here is my working thesis:

Chuck Berry is synonymous with rock and roll, and is often referred to as the father of rock. Berry’s influence is undeniable and unmeasurable. From the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, to Bob Dylan, the list goes on and on. But there is one unlikely comparison that often goes unnoticed. Shock rock pioneer Alice Cooper. Chuck Berry and Alice Cooper, while at first glance may seem like polar opposites, when in fact they are similar in many ways. Since its inception, rock music’s foundation was built on rebellion and teenage angst. Chuck Berry and Alice Cooper’s music epitomizes rebellion and teen life, of course in two completely different ways.
