Risk Management Plan

OVERVIEW:

You have developed your comprehensive Risk Management Plan for your selected department and now must brief the hospital president and board of directors. There is a fine line when performing an executive briefing.
You must simultaneously be succinct, but also want to make sure that the president and board of directors know what risks exist and your mitigation plans.
Transparency and honesty are the best medicine. It is your job as a risk manager to tell hospital
executives what they need to hear versus what they want to hear.

INSTRUCTIONS:

You will summarize the Risk Management Plan authored in the Discussion: Comprehensive
Risk Management Plan in an audio/visual PowerPoint (PPT) presentation. You will use PPT to
build your narrated presentation and convert it into a Windows Media Video (WMV), to present
and record your critique.
Items to include are outlined as follows:

• The presentation be at least ten minutes long and should last no more than 12 minutes
  maximum.
• A minimum of 10 narrated content slides are required.
• A minimum of 5 academic resources are required and shall be in APA format on the last
  slide.
• You will at the minimum: remain in compliance of applicable regulations, mandates,
  legislation, and guidelines; appropriately assess the risk at hand; include staff training
  policies, and procedures; be multi-disciplinary (team concept); have contingencies for
  unforeseen events; mitigate medical malpractice liability; remain cognizant of infectious
  disease; and leverage new technologies when applicable. Please utilize separate slides
  and headings for each of the above topic areas.
• To make this brief as realistic as possible, it is preferred that you show yourself in the
  video when delivering the content; however, you may decline to show yourself if you
  wish.
• Students must include Biblical integration
