For examination your will design a mixed method study related to your own research interests. Importantly, you are not expected to perform a research project, or go into details about specific qualitative and quantitative issues. Instead, the focus should be on the actual mixing in your study: Why mix? How mix? What are benefits and pitfalls in addressing the research problem in this way?
You should formulate a research question that you would like to address with mixed methods, design the study, present the design and discuss it in relation to the literature. Please include flow chart and references (single spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt) and include a discussion of your methodological choices in relation to the literature. All 4 required readings should be cited and feel free to add other sources. A flowchart illustrating the steps in your study, and benefits and pitfalls/disadvantages with applying a mixed methods approach to the specific problem/research question of your study.
