Helena is 7 months old and her mother, Leigh, is in search of a toy to help develop the child’s sensory systems and/or motor skills. Consider the developmental goals and milestones provided in this week’s textbook readings and select one to use as your developmental milestone goal for this discussion assignment.

Research the internet for what you believe is an age-appropriate toy on the market that effectively encourages developmental growth. This toy does not have to be produced or developed in the United States and can be a rattle, clutching toy, walker, activity mat, etc. Be creative and have fun—you might even want to design the toy yourself! If applicable, post a photo of the toy or a link to information about and/or an image of the toy. Describe and defend your position regarding why the toy you selected can be successful in facilitating this stage of development.
