Policy Planning

Overview
There are a number of policy templates available for immediate use, but each business is unique. If there is not a ready-made template, an information security manager must be able to construct a new policy to meet the needs of the organization. Without effective compliance, even the best policies cannot protect an organization. In this assignment, you will craft a policy for your business and a memo to your CEO explaining how you plan to keep the company’s information secure.
Instructions

1. Develop a Minimum Access Policy for your selected business
2. Write a memo to the CEO that highlights the following key components:
   a. Risks this policy addresses
   b. How this policy will be distributed
   c. How compliance will be evaluated
   d. Enforcement measures
3. State how you evaluated the need for this policy.
   a. If this policy is unnecessary, state why and then indicate whether or not it is recommended for your selected industry/organization.
4. Both the memo and the policy are required for this assignment.

   • This assignment is required to have a minimum of 3 references to scholarly resources or industry standards. You may use your textbook as 1 of the required references.
