Finding the literature
After viewing the ‘Locating Sources i-spring’ (see under assessment tab in Learnonline)
Locate six publications (sources) that would be suitable as references for your Policy Analysis Paper.
For this assessment, look beyond scholarly works and include sources from government departments, parliamentary library and peak bodies (referred to as the ‘Grey literature” in the i-spring). Each publication should address a specific section of the paper (see below).
Briefly document the process used to find each publication and clarify why they are relevant to your paper.
Historical development of the policy (2 sources)
Key issues addressed by the policy and those raised by stakeholders (2 sources)
Key findings (reports/reviews) from evaluations of the policy (2 sources)
The Bibliographic details of the sources – not part of the word count.
Continuous Assessment #3 (15% – 750 – 800 words)
After viewing Critical Thinking 1 and 2 students are required to produce a critical analysis of an article that refers to the policy (NDIS). In the analysis students need to identify the following:-
A critique of the key points
The relevancy of these key points to the policy analysis paper
The Bibliographic details – not part of the word count.
