SWOT for Management, Mentoring, and Nursing
SWOT analysis is a process that can provide evidence of what is effective and what is not in clinical systems, procedures, or interventions. SWOT can be quite useful not only in planning projects, but also evaluating them.
Definitions of SWOT
- Strengths – Internal factors that are likely to have a positive effect or facilitate in achieving the project’s objectives
- Weaknesses – Internal factors that are likely to have a negative effect or facilitate in achieving the project’s objectives
- Opportunities – External Factors that are likely to have a positive effect on achieving or exceeding the project goals
- Threats – External Factors and conditions that are likely to have a negative effect on achieving the objectives, or making the objective redundant or unachievable

There are specific foundational approaches associated with the change process and the coach and interpreter images. Evaluate and discuss the Organizational Development (OD) approach as associated with the coach image. Evaluate and discuss the sense making approach as associated with the interpreter image. Compare and contrast the steps of each evaluated framework.
