  1. Open the [your initials] PP E5-2.xlsx workbook completed in Pause & Practice 5-2. Because the workbook includes links, you will see a security warning or a message box.
  2. Click Update in the message box or click Enable Content in the warning bar.
  3. Save the workbook as [your initials] PP E5-3.
  4. Insert a SmartArt graphic.
    1. Click the New sheet button.
    2. Name the new sheet SmartArt and position it to the right of the Static sheet tab.
    3. Click the Insert a SmartArt Graphic button [Insert tab, Illustrations group].
    4. Select Cycle from the list on the left.
    5. Locate and click Radial Venn in the gallery of graphics.
    6. Click OK. If the text pane for the graphic is open, close it.
  5. Add text to a SmartArt graphic.
    1. Select the top circle shape.
    2. Type Car Rental. Do not press Enter; if you did, press Backspace.
    3. Select the leftmost circle shape and type Dinner Reservations. If you make an error, click again in the shape and make the correction.
    4. Type Theater Tickets in the bottom circle shape.
    5. Type Visiting Chef in the rightmost shape.
    6. Type Concierge Services in the center shape (Figure 5-59).
    7. Click a cell near the center circle to deselect the shape.
  6. Add a shape to a SmartArt graphic.
    1. Select the SmartArt graphic.
    2. Click the Add Shape button [SmartArt Design tab, Create Graphic group]. A fifth circle is inserted.
    3. Select the new circle shape.
    4. Type Housekeeping. Do not press Enter; if you did, press Backspace.
    5. Click a cell near any circle to deselect the small circle and select the SmartArt graphic.
  7. Format, position, and size a SmartArt graphic.
    1. Click the frame of the SmartArt graphic to select it.
    2. Click the More button [SmartArt Design tab, SmartArt Styles group].
    3. Choose Inset in the 3-D group.
    4. Click the Change Colors button [SmartArt Design tab, SmartArt Styles group].
    5. Choose Colorful – Accent Colors, the first icon in the group.
    6. Point to the SmartArt frame to display a move pointer.
    7. Drag the graphic to position the top left selection handle in cell A1. When a SmartArt graphic is selected, you can also use a keyboard directional arrow key to nudge the object into position.
    8. Point to the bottom right selection handle to display a resize arrow.
    9. Drag the frame to reach cell K30.
  8. Format shapes in a SmartArt graphic.
    1. Click the Housekeeping shape. Selection handles surround it.
    2. Click the Shape Fill drop-down arrow [Format tab, Shape Styles group].
    3. Choose Yellow in the Standard Colors group.
    4. Click the Car Rental shape and apply Orange from the Standard Colors group.
    5. Change the Theater Tickets shape to Red.
    6. Click cell M1 to deselect the SmartArt (Figure 5-60).
  1. Insert a hyperlink.
    1. Click the Static sheet tab and select cell B13.
    2. Click the Link button [Insert tab, Links group].
    3. Select Place in This Document.
    4. Select the sheet name SmartArt in the Or select a place in this document list.
    5. Select the default text in the Text to display box and type View Illustration without a period.
    6. Click the ScreenTip button and type Click here to view the graphic. including the period (Figure 5-61).
    7. Click OK in the Set Hyperlink ScreenTip dialog box.
    8. Click OK in the Insert Hyperlink dialog box.
    9. Click cell A13.
    10. Point to the hyperlink text to view the ScreenTip.
    11. Click the link to test it.
  2. Insert and format a picture.
    1. Click the Static sheet tab and select cell B15.
    2. Click the Insert Pictures button [Insert tab, Illustrations group] and choose This Device.
    3. Navigate to the folder with your student data image files.
    4. Choose PerfectRentals and click Insert. The image has a white background and no outline.
    5. Click the Shape Height box [Picture Format tab, Size group].
    6. Replace the default height with .5 and press Enter. The width resizes proportionally.
    7. Drag and position the image to cover cells E1:E2 as shown in Figure 5-62.
    8. Click cell A15.
  3. Mark a workbook as final.
    1. Click the File tab and select Info.
    2. Click the Protect Workbook button and select Mark as Final.
    3. Click OK to resave the file.
    4. Click OK to close the message box.
  4. Close the workbook.
