Olympics

Research Paper Outline
Name:The assignment for your research paper is the gathering of sources and information. This is still early on in your research, and you may find that you will not use all of your research in your final paper. Before we create a formal bibliography, it is important to gather resources and notes informally.

There are three main components of this paper:
Students will answer the research question above, why do we still have the Olympics, this is the only opinion part of the paper. You will need to understand the history of the Olympics to complete this. (1 page)
Students will learn about the history of the Olympics, and about the history of the sport they selected. (1 page)
Each Student will select 1 sporting event, and one athlete competing, and will follow their progress through the games. ( 1 page)

For each section of the paper, you will need 3-5 sources. These sources do not have to be cited in Chicago style (you do not know what information you will use in your paper yet!) Simply have the URL or name of the book, and list your notes from the research beneath. Ideally, this should be broken up into sections for each part of the paper. This is done to ensure that you have the sources necessary to write a three-page research paper.
