Case study scenario:
Recently, a few local childcare centres in Singapore have started implementing multi-generational activities for their pupils. Such activities aim to facilitate the teaching and learning of values such as kindness through interactions between young students and older adults. Elderly residents who share the community with these childcare centres participate by running activities and classes such as calligraphy, arts and crafts, and exercise lessons. In the future, the government aims to scale up the implementation of such multi- generational programmes in childcare centres across Singapore. However, before doing so, government officials are interested to qualitatively assess the delivery and impact of these activities.
