Module 3: Discussion Forum

As John Ullmen (2022) instructed in his short video: Find inspirationLinks to an external site., think of someone in your life who’s had a significant positive influence on you. Maybe It’s a parent, a coach, a teacher, or a friend. Maybe they encouraged you to believe in yourself or empowered you to do things you didn’t know you could. Pick one of them and answer the following four questions.

  1. Who is this very special person in your life? Why do you choose them as one of your biggest positive influencers?
  2. What did they specifically do that you found so meaningful? Did they engage in mindful listening?
  3. What are the results of their actions on you and your life?
  4. Going forward, what are some things you can do for yourself and for others to honor this person’s contribution to you?

Be sure to post an initial, substantive response by Thursday at 11:59 p.m. MT and respond to 2 or more peers with substantive responses by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. MT. A substantive initial post answers the question presented completely and/or asks a thoughtful question pertaining to the topic. Respond to the original post of at least 2 of your peers. Substantive peer responses ask a thoughtful question pertaining to the topic and/or answers a question (in detail) posted by another student or the instructor.
