Nineteenth century Britain was largely responsible for the diffusion of modern sport forms to various “colonial outposts” .However, as a colonial power, Britain may have exploited nation’s around the world (both in terms of human and natural resources).How was Britain an agent of colonial exploitation around the world? What was the role of sport in Britain’s colonial expansion? How was British sport adopted, negotiated, and/or contest by local populations in regions around the world?
