Military in Different Countries

My topic is “Military” of the 6 PMESII variables. See below for USCENTCOM based scenario and instructions.

Perform a literature review focused upon your instructor-assigned PMESII or PMESII-PT factor. You may search the Muir S. Fairchild Research Information Center (MSFRIC, the Air University library) using the instructions provided via the “AU Library” tab found on the Home Page. You may also choose to search other resources but be sure to vet sources as described in the Lesson One narrative.
From your survey, identify four appropriate articles (each between 5 and 25 pages in length) that address the given issue from the perspective of your assigned PMESII or PMESII-PT framework factor. Please note that shorter pieces may be acceptable with proper justification to your Instructor. Also, lengthier pieces may be selected if you don’t cite a section longer than 25 pages. Following this, select the ONE article that best addresses the given issue and write an entry suitable for an Annotated Bibliography (AB) of the article. At the beginning of your entry, provide the proper citation for your source. After your AB entry, also briefly identify salient points from your remaining articles NOT addressed in your selected article.
You may supplement weak areas in your main article with secondary articles or use secondary articles to counter bias or shortcomings to provide a comprehensive and balanced view of your PMESII or PMESII-PT factor.

• be between 250-350 words. This word count restriction applies to the body of your main article and excludes the bibliography and secondary source comments.
• include a working link to, or PDF-format attachment of, the original article.
• SCENARIO: Iranian Navy
• ///China and Iran have announced plans to hold yearly, small-scale naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman. They have also announced plans to embed Chinese naval advisors with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps navy. What course of action do you recommend, and why??///
• As a reminder of your role, here is a direct lift from the course syllabus:
• “The course begins with research and a systems-based analysis of a specific real-world security issue that challenges American national security objectives, and results in a group synthesis of a policy response to the issue reflecting the perspectives of both (a) a national-security policy team, and (b) a senior airman or space professional tasked with assessing airpower’s and space power’s role in a proposed response.”
• You can use any scholarly articles, books or journals you wish, but be sure to use articles with a page count below 20 (if possible). Your primary article should be detailed, well-researched, perhaps even peer-reviewed, contextualizes the element, and comes from a reputable source. Newspapers are probably insufficient; Wikipedia is definitely insufficient. You might begin with the AU library (MSFRIC) but Google and Google Scholar are good starting points as well. As a note on content, if this were a real-world tasking, you should be constantly reviewing various world news sources for the latest information pertaining to the region we’re concentrating on, as well as any ancillary news stories that could impact this region and its players, either directly or indirectly. Senior leaders will have to base their ultimate decisions on the most up-to-the-minute information available, so this level of situational awareness is crucial for success.
There are two parts to this first assignment. First is an annotated bibliography with a summary of your article of choice, along with a brief synopsis (a couple of sentences) of the remaining articles you reviewed due before midnight on Thursday. Your additional sources can be articles, book chapters, etc… that either confirm what you learned from the primary source, refute what you learned, or offer a different perspective on what you learned. Either way, they should enhance your level of understanding and make you smarter on the PMESII element you researched.
