Using the three cases at the beginning of Chapter 5 – Anthony, Jasmine, and Gabriela – in an essay (1,000-1500 words), cite three to five scholarly sources to address the following prompts:
- How would you describe their physical, cognitive, cultural, emotional, and social development?
- What are the strengths and challenges of each child taking into account their developmental stage?
- Identify risk and protective factors and special challenges of this stage of development. How might you use risk and protective factors to enhance their development?
- Identify influential cultural factors for each case and discuss how you might address those factors as their social worker.
