Media Analysis

Write a reflection on the library search activities from today’s seminar. Consider what different academic skills you have used and where you could use these skills in your future work.

Submit your reflection along with the annotated bibliography you made with your group, as documentation.

Task: select 6 samples of this formative work, which you consider best show your academic development through the module, and compile them into a portfolio. Your samples should include at least one each of:
● critical summary of a primary text
● analysis of a media objects (e.g. image, video, advert, etc.) chosen sample
● documentation of a research task
● documentation of a creative task
Each sample of work should be accompanied by a reflection which explains what you did, evaluates how it went (were you happy with the results / what would you differently next time?), and indicates what academic skills you developed in the process, and where you could or have applied them in future work.
Please use Harvard (Author, date) style referencing, including a complete reference list, to document all the research sources you refer to – including both scholarly sources and media sources.

At the end of this assignment you will be able to:

1. Demonstrate a developing understanding of key issues, concepts and terminology in media and cultural studies.
