There are three Short Papers in the course. In writing each paper, you are expected to integrate course material, as well as conduct and incorporate further research on the given issue.
In this Short Paper, which is due at the end of Module 2, write about the following:
In the process of risk assessment, which is more important–probability of occurrence or severity of impact?
Provide examples to illustrate your reasoning.
Your work should be submitted in a Word document, 2-3 pages in length. In addition, there should be a title and a reference page. Each paper must be typed in double-space, in 12 point Arial or Times New Roman font. The page margins on the top, bottom, left side, and right side should be 1 inch each. You should follow APA formatting in citing and referencing sources.
See the Course Calendar for due dates.
Keep the following points in mind:
The comparison between the probability of occurrence and the severity of impact is made using pertinent examples.
Answers are well-developed and supported by adequate research information.
Compose your work in a .doc or .docx file type using a word processor (such as Microsoft Word, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor.
