Prepare a report in which you explain the roles and responsibilities of the professionals in the case study with regards to prescribing, dispensing, administering, storing and disposal of medications?

Compare the responsibilities and level of accountability assigned to different individuals mentioned in P4 who are involved in prescribing, dispensing, administering, storing and disposal of medications.

In health and social Care Settings medicines need to be stored correctly to make sure they work properly (e.g. if stored at wrong temperature, the
medicines may become inactive).

Explain safe practice in prescribing, dispensing, administering, storing and disposal of medications. Relate to the case study where appropriate.
Extend your work further by discussing how OneStop Care Home can ensure safe practice when prescribing, dispensing, administering, storing and disposing of medications
Evaluate the role of safe practice when prescribing, dispensing, administering, storing and disposing of medications in terms of outcomes for the residents, staff and other professionals involved at OneStop Care Home.

Consider looking at the strength and potential limitation of the safe practice used within your work placement environment for example obtaining patient consent, preparation prior to administration of medicines, risk assessment, storage and administration of correct dose of the correct medication to individuals.
