How to Apply

Read the Guidance
Please read these guidance notes in full to find out more about the Kent Community Fund and the sort of projects we are able to fund.
Check your project is eligible
You can apply for funding of between £2,000 and £50,000 under the Kent Community Fund.
Check our operating area
We will accept applications for projects situated within the geographical region of Kent.
Complete a Kent Community Fund application form
Please answer the questions as fully as possible. Do not answer any question ‘see attached’ as your application will be returned. You must write within the word count and indicate the number of words for each section. Please write in plain English.
Send all the required information
Applications that do not contain all the required information will be returned. We will not consider project applications that have previously been submitted.
Make sure you send an on-line and hard copy by the deadline.
We can only consider a limited amount of applications in each round and projects are allocated to panels on a first come first served basis, subject to all information being provided.
About Kent Community Fund

The Kent Community Fund is designed to deliver sustainable public health and health promotion projects that will benefit the local community. Your application must reflect the need for this project. If you are working in partnership with other organisations, you must indicate who these organisations are and what role they play. The primary intent of the project must be for introducing or enhancing a service that maintain or continuously improve the health and wellbeing of local people.
The Fund defines a service as something that will enhance health related learning and/or sustainably provide a healthier setting for the local community. The service must take place within a place that is open and accessible to the general public. It should be somewhere where the general public can go, join or use without any limit or restrictions of use (or with reasonable access costs) being in place. The project or service must be targeted on a specific amenity at a single location.
Who can apply for funding?
Community organisations, voluntary groups, charities, not-for-profit organisations and higher education students can apply for funding as long as they have a bank account. Local authorities can act as partners.
How much can you apply for?
Grants of between £2000 and £50,000 are available for projects.
