Imaging Modalities For Cancer Diagnosis

Using examples from the literature and your own experience, evaluate a range of imaging modalities in terms of primary level diagnosis, further diagnosis, staging and tumour identification. You are expected to briefly describe each modality and compare them in terms of cost, time, and effectiveness across a range of cancer diagnoses.

You may use diagrams and figures to illustrate your answer. Word limit is 2000.

• Compare them in terms of their effectiveness in diagnosis and identification.
• Discuss which ones might be most effective for different tasks such as staging of a cancer.
