ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
The student will complete 6 HR Application assignments. The HR business professional must be able to effectively apply applicable legislation, create strategic staffing, training and compensation policies and strategies and manage the performance of the healthcare workforce. Each of these HR activities must be assessed from an ethical and Biblical perspective. The HR application assignments provide the student an opportunity to critically evaluate various topics related to the HR function and consider the ethical implications.
INSTRUCTIONS
The student will answer the questions posed for each HR application. Each HR application must be a minimum of 600 words of original discussion and analysis, not counting the cover or reference pages.
• The responses to each HR application must be supported by at least:
o 3 scholarly, peer-reviewed sources.
o the course textbook.
o substantive Biblical integration.
• The Biblical integration should be sufficiently integrated throughout the narrative.
• The APA formatted citations must be included throughout the narrative.
• Every paragraph in the responses must include sufficient scholarly, peer-reviewed research support and Biblical support.
• Each paragraph should be fully developed.
• There must be a cover page and reference page in current APA format.
• Organize content under Level 1 headings.

Module/Week Questions to Address for Each HR Application
1 Describe and evaluate an HR strategy you have either created or applied in a healthcare organization. If you have not worked in a healthcare organization, evaluate an HR strategy you have either created or applied in an organization and then assess how it would be related to a healthcare organization. Include an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the strategy. What would you recommend be done to improve or change the application of the strategy? Why?
2 In your experience, what are the challenges of managing the human resources in an organization? What are the benefits of effective HR management? Explain. Include a discussion of how a healthcare organization must have effective HR management applied.
3 Describe how you would conduct an effective and legally defensible job analysis for a key healthcare management position. Include the rationale for each element you include.
5 Describe a recruitment strategy utilized in your organization. Include the advantages of this strategy. What U.S. employment laws apply to this strategy? Why?
6 Based on your experience, what HR issues are most important to the healthcare industry? Why?
8 Consider you were the HR Director for your organization, what improvements would you recommend be applied to improve the organization’s ability to achieve it’s mission? Why?
