A description of three safety concerns to be aware of during this child’s stay in
the hospital. These safety concerns should be specific to the developmental age
of the assigned child; are related to a child in hospital, and not about safety in
your nursing care plan. Provide a rationale for each concern and citation(s) to
support your choices.
Three potential impact of hospitalization: one on the child, one on the child’s
family, and the third on either child or parent/caregiver, with an explanation of
the impact identified. Remember to provide an explanation (rationale) for the
impact and a citation to support your choice.
A description of three communication techniques that would be used with the
child and family according to the developmental age of the child.

Paragraph 3- Describe nursing interventions and health teaching to assist children and their families to cope with illness and hospitalization of a child in context of King and Duffy, grounded in family centered care.

mechanics which includes grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure. Headings must

and the knowledge applied to a child of a specific age group (19 months) who has
been admitted to hospital following the emergency room visit.
