Data Integrity

Great Health Hospital (GHH) would like to evaluate personal health records to assess whether patients using herbal supplements inform their providers that they are taking them. Additionally, they would like to understand if there is a need for patient education on herbal/pharmaceutical drug interactions.

Part I:

Use the Data Integrity Checklist template to develop a checklist of specific concerns in data integrity that could be applied in compiling a health care database for strategic use surrounding combining patients’ electronic health records and personal health records for use at GHH. The template has each of the following data integrity principles included with the following columns of information to fill in: question; response; impact; and mitigation plan. Recall that you are completing this checklist regarding data integrity associated with GHH and their desire to utilise personal health records and educational tools for patients as described above.
