In the literature review, the rationale for such topic MUST be provided through exploring three main points by answering ALL of the following questions:
1) The Healthcare facilities: (≈2500 words) (21~25 sources)
1.1) How many types of healthcare facilities are there in the world generally and in UK specially? (e.g. Primary, Secondary, or Tertiary hospitals; specialised hospitals/clinics,… etc.) And what is the difference between them in terms of facility management?
1.2) What does each type consist of in terms of layout? (e.g. patients rooms, ORs, workers offices, warehouses… etc.) And are there any differences in the buildings’ operational and property characteristics? [Provide examples of Facility Profiles]
1.3) What is the average electricity consumption rate and energy efficiency of each healthcare facility type, and how does it compare with other buildings from different sectors? (e.g. Residential, Industrial, Educational, Commercial, Agricultural,… etc.) [Provide RECENT statistics in the UK preferably, or globally if there are no sufficient UK data].
1.4) Are there specific areas of the healthcare facility that consumes more electricity than others? And do working hours affect the consumption rate or the energy efficiency? [Provide RECENT statistics in the UK preferably, or globally if there are no sufficient UK data].
2) Solar PV Systems: (≈2900 words) (26~30 sources)
2.1) What is a “grid-connected solar PV system” and “Grid Parity” and how do they work? And how do they help financially in terms of electricity savings and energy efficiency?
2.2) How many types of solar PV panels are available in the UK market and what are the technical specifications of each type? (e.g. output efficiency, life expectancy, maintenance frequency,… etc.)
2.3) What are the policies and legislations that govern the solar energy deployment in the UK and what is their current status? What is the role of these policies and legislations in driving the investment into solar panels? {e.g. Feed-in-Tariff (FIT), Net Metering, Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Accelerated Depreciation, initial investment tax credit,… etc.}
2.4) What are the barriers, challenges and difficulties that prevent healthcare facilities from investing in a solar PV system within UK?

3) Investment Evaluation Methods: (≈2850 words) (26~30 sources)
3.1) What are the methods/techniques for evaluating energy investments? And what is the difference between the “Static” and “Dynamic” evaluation methods?
3.2) What is the “Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCOE)” method, how can it be applied, and what are its advantages and disadvantages? Is there a specific rate of electricity consumption to achieve cost competitiveness for the solar PV system in a healthcare facility?
3.3) What is the “Simple Payback (SPB)” method, how can it be applied, and what are its advantages and disadvantages? What is the acceptable payback period of a solar energy investment in the healthcare sector within the UK?
3.4) Why are the LCOE and SPB considered to be the most suitable methods in evaluating a grid-connected solar PV system investment? [PROVIDE A STRONG RATIONALE FOR SELECTION].
