In this final post, every student is expected to create a 200-250 word post sharing evidenced based steps (from either a book or online resource that you provide) describing how to increase health or happiness. There should be an introduction to your topic, the ‘steps’ should be listed clearly (1. ….2….) and fully explained and there should be a conclusion. This is 10% of your final grade and should include references and clearly outlined steps to your choice of health or happiness. You are expected to explain HOW the steps would support health or happiness using references to our book or your resources. This is not your opinion so much as an informal research paper demonstrating you can find and interpret credible information on health or happiness.
Ms. G recorded 20-minutes of Happiness 101 that summarize and show the evidence for her favorite and most profound 2 of 5 top stress reduction strategies: regular physical activity/exercise and meditation. Key points: “NOT exercising is LIKE taking a depressant” and meditation can simply be “single minded focus on one activity, object, mantra or prayer with belly breathing and no judgment”.
