Common reasons that affect cancer death rates include all the reasons in b, plus socioeconomic factors, access to healthcare, and cultural attitudes towards healthcare.

d. Which cancers do not appear in the top 10 list of most common by new cases, which are in the top 10 list of most common by deaths? List this for men and women.

e. There has been a huge push to research breast cancer, understanding both early detection and more effective treatment. What has happened to the death rate from breast cancer between 1990 and 2014? What is the current estimated new cases for breast cancer, and estimated deaths? Compare that ratio to lung and bronchus in women. What might be done to make lung cancer as survivable as breast cancer?
