Employee Involvement Status

My research is about (Etihad Airways) and its quality. Research about the “Leadership statues” + “Employee Involvement statues + “Teambuilding and teamwork statues” + “ISO Certification” and two other topics.

Leadership status (13 marks)

1. Describe and evaluate the overall leadership style in the company. Does it help in a successful implementation of the quality program in the company

2. What were the challenges the leaders faced in applying TQM? How did they overcome them? Give supporting evidence.

Employee involvement status- (7 marks)

1. What concepts does the company follow to achieve a motivated workforce?

2. How does the company find out what its employees needs and requirements are?

3. How does the company act upon the findings? Evaluate the company’s act taking into consideration the decision making process, implementation and time frame.

Team building and teamwork status- (6 marks)

1. Do leaders encourage teamwork? Why? If yes, how do they do it? If no, what are the drawbacks of not encouraging teamwork

2. How do they handle conflict in teams? Give supporting evidence.

TQM principles and quality philosophies adopted- (14 marks)

1. Describe how does the company adopt the work of one or more of the Gurus (Deming, Juran, Crosby) while giving supporting evidence (i.e. through specific examples).

2. How did the company benefit from adopting the work of that (those) Guru(s)? Explain properly how TQM helped in achieving each benefit.

ISO Certification (5 marks)

1. Does the company have an ISO certification? What are the benefits (at least 3 with explanation) the company gained from ISO? Explain one process that was improved after applying ISO and how it was improved.

2. If the company does not have any ISO certification, what would be the benefits (at least 3 with explanation) of getting this certification? Name one process that would benefit from applying ISO and explain why.

Recommendations: implementation plan with justification- (15 marks)

State 5 recommendations that need to be implemented to improve the TQM system while properly explaining their implementation.
