Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

• Instructors will be using a grading rubric to grade the assignments. It is recommended that learners review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment in order to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment (attached)

Directions:

Draft the Introduction to your literature review. The Introduction should include, among other items, an opening sentence that describes the topic to be investigated, a description of the importance of the topic to the field, and a summary of the themes to be addressed in chapter (the literature review).

Revise the draft literature review that you created in the previous assignment incorporating the feedback from your instructor.

Draft the Summary to your literature review. Among other ideas, the Summary should note the conflicting information (tensions) and omitted information (gaps) in the existing literature, describe how the study you are considering is new and different, and identify how your study will add scholarly value to the field of study.

For this assignment, read parts I and II of the assigned article by Macdonald, “Constructing a Framework for Criminal Justice Research: Learning from Packer’s Mistakes,” and write an article review addressing the following: Briefly introduce and summarize the article. Identify the author’s main points. Who is the author’s intended audience? Compare and contrast the crime control and due process models. Your response must be at least three pages in length. All sources used, including the article, must be referenced. Paraphrased and/or quoted materials must have accompanying in-text citations and references in APA format.
