Research Question: When mixed-use development is implemented, how does the economy of metropolitan towns change? What effects does it have on employment opportunities, local economic growth, entrepreneurship, property values, and transportation infrastructure?

Abstract to follow: The economic effects of mixed-use development in metropolitan areas are the subject of this paper. The main question is: “How does the implementation of mixed-use development in urban areas influence job creation, local economic growth, entrepreneurship, property values, and transportation infrastructure, and what are the associated economic implications for communities?” This paper attempts to show the economic effects of mixed-use development using scientific literature, data analysis, and case studies. Based on initial research and prior knowledge, mixed-use development plays a vital role in the economic life of urban areas by creating jobs, encouraging entrepreneurship, boosting local economic growth, and positively influencing property values and transportation infrastructure.
