All assignments MUST be typed, double-spaced, in APA style, and must be written at graduate level English.

You must integrate the material presented in the text. In addition to the text, you may use current (5 years or less), evidence-based research articles on positive psychology, but these should support and compliment the text, not replace the text. Cite your work according to APA format.

Culture and diversity issues must be addressed when relevant.

The entire assignment should be 6-7 pages total plus a title and reference page.

1. Discuss how fear and courage can be conceptualized differently by age and across cultures.
2. Create an original exampleof how a therapist might use the phenomenon of flow with a client, matching the characteristics of the two conditions of flow in your example.
3. Describe one example of someone engaging in egotism-based altruism and one example of someone engaging in empathy-based altruism. How might the innocent bystander effect, and muting empathy impair altruistic actions?
4. You are working with a couple from different cultures on perceived betrayal. The husband is of Latino background. The wife is second-generation Asian American. How would you utilize the difference in Eastern and Western conceptualizations of forgiveness when working with this couple?
5. Discuss the benefits of using relationships for primary enhancement of psychological health. Provide an original exampleto illustrate these benefits.
6. When working with a client, what are the benefits of existentialism as they relate to secondary enhancement of psychological health. How might a therapist integrate self-management models with this same client?
