Computer Systems and Network Attacks

Overview
There are many attacks listed under the “Attacking Computer Systems and Networks” section (e.g., DoS, TCP/IP Hijacking, Replay attack, etc.), but they are not described in great detail. For this essay, provide details for one type of attack.
Instructions
Choose one of these attacks and write a 2-page essay covering the following areas at a minimum. It should be a well-formed essay, not a response divided into sections that addresses each area:

1. A brief history of the attack
2. A description of the attack (i.e., how does it work)
3. The current state of the attack
4. Potential mitigations
   Assignment Guidelines and Rubric
   • Your assignment should be a minimum of 500 words in length.
   • In addition to the textbook, use a minimum of two additional resources that are current (no older than 3 years) and reliable (must have author and date of publication).
