Clinical Abilities

For the longitudinal project this quarter, you are to develop a 1-page newsletter for healthcare providers that includes a new drug update. The handout can be 1-sided or double-sided but should not exceed 1 page.

For this project, assume you are completing an APPE rotation at K-Town Medical Center. You are on rotation on the oncology floor. Your preceptor has asked you to develop a newsletter for other healthcare providers that provides information on a new chemotherapy medication. This handout will be distributed to the prescribers, pharmacy staff, and nursing staff. It should be visually appealing and written at an appropriate level for both prescribers and pharmacy and nursing staff. Further details of what your preceptor has asked you to include in the newsletter are provided in the instructions below.

This activity will help you develop confidence in your ability to perform the following EPA: educate patients and professional colleagues regarding the appropriate use of medications.
