Completed Project File Name: [your initials] Excel 4-10.xlsx
Create a new workbook and save it as [your initials] Excel 4-10. Modify your workbook according to the following guidelines:
- Decide what type of sports team or group you will use (tennis, baseball, golf, swimming, and so on).
- Start in row 4. In columns A:B, type first name and last name for 12 persons, including yourself. Use fictitious or real names.
- In column C, type a city/town/village location for each individual. Use three different locations and repeat them randomly in the column.
- In column D, type a brief statement about the person’s abilities or accomplishment in your chosen sport (Best ERA on her high school team, PGA handicap of 12, Fastest butterfly stroke in college, etc.).
- Enter main labels for each of the columns and format them bold and centered to distinguish them from the data rows.
- Format the data as a table and apply a table style.
- Add a column on the right to count the number of characters in the descriptive statement for each person. Sort the data by last name and then by location.
- Make a copy of the sheet. On the copied sheet, insert two columns so that you can display the last and first names in a single column. Display the name like this: Last, First. Use Flash Fill to build the new column and delete the original column.
- Apply a different table style.
