Length: 3-4 pages typed, double spaced, 12-point font.
Format: MLA parenthetical documentation and manuscript style, 1-inch margins, proper heading and header, no title page.

Notes: There are numerous ways of going about this analysis. There are themes that run throughout all the pieces and you can choose what you want to talk about. For example: Consider what it means to sacrifice in “The Lottery” and “Omelas”; consider how the setting of “The Metamorphosis” affects the characters; dynamic characters vs static characters and why, etc. Anything like that. Once you’ve read the piece, analyze a particular element.
