Choose one of the following groups and describe their movement to gain civil between 1960 and 1999. Then choose one specific event and research it in depth. Consider ways in which supporters attempted to gain equality, attempts by non-supporters to block these attempts, and their overall results. Pay attention to influences by the African American civil rights movement.
