To complete this journal activity, first read the AHIMA data quality standards and focus on key principles 1 through 5. Next, review the data set for the final project, and complete the Module Two EHR Quality Review Template, specifically focusing the following sections of the data set:

Attach the completed EHR quality review template to your journal. Then, in your journal assignment, address the following:

Present a model for how standardization through using a data dictionary for this data set can facilitate better decision support, reporting, and information retrieval.
Describe how the four sections of data you reviewed in the data set apply to each of the five AHIMA data quality standards.
Propose a process for determining the quality of the data in the data dictionary in relation to the specific standards. Provide some examples.
Explain why quality data is important. Provide some specific examples related to the data set.
Present an argument for how a standardized data dictionary would improve information capture and retrieval and decision making.
