Proposal on Social Problems of HIV/AIDS

• In 2 -3 paragraphs describe the social problem of HIV/AIDS. How many are impacted by this issue.

• Describe the problem in details by describing client characteristics, the severity of symptoms, etc.

1. Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): This involves taking a daily pill that significantly reduces the risk of HIV infection in people who are at high risk1.
2. Syringe Services Programs (SSPs): These programs provide access to sterile needles and syringes, reducing the risk of HIV transmission among people who inject drugs2.

• Now focus and elaborate more on the PrEP program. include more details about the program and how this program has helped to also address the problem. Review the literature to find peer-reviewed articles to support the utility/effectiveness of the PrEP program.
• Identify limitations/gaps in the literature. You want to begin to build the case as to why you are proposing the PrEP program for evaluation.
• What outcomes are missing from other research?
  -Has other research excluded certain racial/ethnic groups, age groups, etc.?,
  -Find the gaps in the literature (look at the research articles you find to pinpoint some limitations in the research),
