Species Survival Plans

It is very important that this is essay is exceptional because it is 200 points and worth 7% of my grade (equal amount of points and percent of grade to my final)

The essay must have 6 paragraphs, so if it goes under the 825 words and 3 pages that’s fine. It doesn’t really matter how many sources there are, just make sure there’s a reasonable amount and they’re good and make sense.

Is it possible to save species from extinction?

To answer these questions, you are going to write a narrative explaining three possible actions that could lead to the survival of a specific keystone species that is currently under threat. You will use evidence from texts, videos, and secondary data sources, along with sound scientific reasoning and logic, to create your narrative.

Introduction: The purpose of the paper is to describe the goals you have for saving your organism from extinction. Describe the importance of your organism to its environment (i.e. why it’s considered a keystone species).

Threats/Trends: Describe the current conditions of your organism in terms of population decline, the deterioration of its habitat, and the causes.

Species Action Plan 1: Describe the action you propose and the positive effects it will have on the survival of your organism.

Species Action Plan 2: Describe the action you propose and the positive effects it will have on the survival of your organism.

Species Action Plan 3: Describe the action you propose and the positive effects it will have on the survival of your organism.

Conclusion: Call to action! Summarize and stress the importance of your organism to its environment, the changing environment, and each of your action plans.

“keystone species: a species that is relied on by other species. if removed, the ecosystem would change drastically. the mountain pine trees are keystone species because they make oxygen which we need to live, also when trees die and fall they can be used as fuel for a forest fire.”
