How is this speech tailored to this particular audience or subset of the audience (personal references, style, language, shared interests/backgrounds, etc.)?
Discussion of the speech’s strengths and weaknesses
What works for you in this speech? What doesn’t?
What would you have done differently? (There has to be something!)
Does the speech seem organized? Are there sections or obvious main points?
Effective opener and close?
Use of rhetorical/stylistic devices (Hamilton: pp.193-203)
Is wording specific? Unique? Appropriate?
Can you point to examples of use of stylistic devices (Alliteration, hyperbole, repetition and parallelism, simile and metaphor, etc.)?
Analysis of 2 direct quotes (if not incorporated in above)
