Question 1

• The World Economy (Western European world trade, Columbian Exchange, economic inequality, expansions of state power, etc.)
• The Transformation of the West, 1450-1750 (Renaissance and the reformation periods, Europe’s commercial revolution, Western science, Asian societies, Europe in the 18th century, etc.)
• Early Latin America (Spanish conquest, economic growth or hold back of Latin America, Portuguese/Brazilian slavery, etc.)

You may choose 1 topic from any 1 of the chapters to write your essay on. Again, the essay should be 2 pages in length and should include the following:

• Times New Roman 12 point font or Courier New 12 point font

• references needed
• Absolutely No Plagiarism! (Automatic “F”)

Question 2

250 words minimum with 2 scholarly sources in APA format. Your opinion is important but this exercise is also about critical thinking. These questions “mirror” the assigned weekly text and information can be found in the assigned reading. You can also add additional research very easily via the internet. If you use other sources be sure and include in-text citations and references.
