Then, respond to the following questions below in full sentences.
Part 2- Reflect and Respond
Now that you have watched the video, please respond to the following questions in complete sentences and be sure to write at least one paragraph per response.
1) Explain whether you feel that Cameron Russell was sincere during her TED talk. Do you believe she is in favour or opposed to superficial judgement?
2) She presents stats on discrimination yet she herself has benefitted immensely from an industry that discriminates women who are not tall, skinny, and white. What are your thoughts about this?
3) Since Cameron Russell feels that an injustice does exist, what do you believe she is doing to change this mentality in the industry? Do you feel that it is enough? What changes would you like to see?
4) How did Russell change how people perceive her within the first few moments upon arriving on stage? Did you perception of her change when she changed her outfit?
5) What does she mean “Image is superficial”? Do you feel that image has impacted your life as well?
6) What are your thoughts about the ‘race’ factor as highlighted in this TED talk? Do you agree that there is some ‘racism’ in the modelling industry? Explain.
Part 3- Topic and Brainstorm
For this portion of the assignment, you are going to practice your own creative writing skills. I want you to think about a topic that you are so passionate about. Something that gets you thinking about opportunity, possibilities, and gets your creative neurons working. Then, you are going to create your own TED talk presentation, as per your outline. Please read and follow the steps as outlined below.
1) In one sentence, describe the topic you are very passionate about and would like to create a TED presentation about.
2) In point form, jot down a list of ideas, concepts, thoughts, and opinions that come to mind when you think about your topic. Just write what comes to mind, no matter what it is when it comes to your TED talk.
Part 4- Outline
Now, before you start creating your TED talk, the ideas must be clear, fluent, and must exude passion and excitement. So, I want you to choose 3-5 strong points that you want to really focus on for your TED presentation. You are more than welcome to discuss more than five points, just make sure they are related to your chosen TED topic, and that you do not go off on a rant in your presentation. Write the headings for each of the ideas on the left side of the graph, and then all the points you want to make about that idea in your presentation, on the right side. I have provided an example below.

Explanation of that Point or Idea
