Psychological assessment is a specialized skill set that combines many different elements of ethics, experience, and competence. Competencies in assessment include the following:
• Administering different instruments
• Working with diverse populations
• Knowledge of different clinical problems and syndromes
Discuss how practitioners must continuously refine their skill set to understand how to account for individual variability, such as factors of diversity, when interpreting test results based on norms in psychological assessment.
In addressing this Discussion Board posting, please initiate a thought-provoking discussion on the complex, nuanced, and valuable role of norms in interpreting patient performance on measures. Discussion Requirements
Learners are expected to have weekly interaction with the Faculty Mentor as well as with other Learners through class participation in course Discussion assignments.  Learners must post to each Discussion assignment at least three times each week.
