Once Abraham Lincoln said that nearly all men can stand adversity, but if the person wants to test a character of the man, he/she needs to give him power. It is well-known fact that people can demonstrate their true abilities and features of character while having power. Being a leader, the decisions of any person will have a tremendous and significant impact on the people who are around this personality. At the same time, the adversity tests a determination of the man. However, the power brings out the inner ego of people. According to the definition from the Australian Oxford Dictionary, the power is the ability of effective action while some leaders in the past have made the differences in the history and they also provided their people with justice. There are impacts that we would rather forget. However, it also depends on in the individual on how the power is defined. Usually, it is through the power that such gruesome acts of injustice can take place. In the memoir night, the Nazis have abused the power immensely when they shot their prisoners. As for the infants, they were tossed into the air and they were also used as the target for the machine guns.
