• Electronic health records (EHR) were promoted as a way to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare. To date the results are mixed. Describe one way that EHRs have improved healthcare quality, efficiency and effectiveness.  
• What have been some of the main challenges posed by the growing use of medical technology in the United States?  Discuss how to mitigate these challenges.
• Although medical technology brings numerous benefits, what have been some of the main challenges posed by the growing use of medical technology in the United States? 
• How do American cultural beliefs and values influence the use of medical technology?
