Evolution Research Proposal

Write a Research Proposal about moral perspectives people use to reject evolution through natural selection.

The purpose of the research proposal is to choose a research topic and to design a research proposal from scratch. The proposal will take into consideration the methodologies and ethical issues learned in the course.

Avoid research involving minors, vulnerable groups, groups involved in any illegal activity, or any research that would put the researcher or participants in any form of physical or psychological danger.

The research proposal should be formatted in the following way, as referenced from page 119 of the course text:

1. Introduction: Introduces the reader to the topic and the proposed research question, preparing for the rest of the proposal.
2. Conceptual framework:
   • Topic and statement of the problem
   • Purpose and significance: States how the study contributes to either scholarly knowledge or to addressing a societal issue.
   • Literature review: Gives an overview of what is known on the topic and how the proposed study situates itself in the scholarly debate on the topic.
   • Overview questions and sub questions: This is where you present your specific research question and the minor questions you may address on your road to addressing the main research question.
3. Methodology: Outlines, in detail, how the study will be conducted, including where data will be collected, what data, and how it will be analyzed, including
   • Site or population selection.
   • Data gathering procedures.
   • Analytical framework.
4. Ethical considerations: States how the researcher plans to adhere to the professional ethical guidelines and protect the human participants during the conduct of the study.
5. Conclusion
6. Appendixes: As appropriate. Containing interview questions, informed consent documents, observation protocol, etc.
