Communicable Disease Selection

I choose HIV communicable since I grew up in NYC in early 80’s and our Hospital St. Vincent’s Medical Center was one of the first institutions accepting this then NUMBERED named the unknown communicable disease. (St. Clare’s also closed now was another in NYC accepting these patients than seen with brain lesions and it was acceptable to do brain biopsies on each patient! Times have changed. I think HIV has come a long way in relatively short time and is interesting.

As an Operating Room Nurse, I dealt daily with this new disease back then.

2. Describe the determinants of health and explain how those factors contribute to the development of this disease.
3. Discuss the epidemiologic triangle as it relates to the communicable disease you have selected. Include the host factors, agent factors (presence or absence), and environmental factors. (The textbook describes each element of the epidemiologic triangle). 4. Are there any special considerations or notifications for the community, schools, or general population?

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required. I WILL SEND the APA guide as my School uses. THIS PAPER IS Critical. Must follow Title, NO Abstract, Intro, Totally UNBIASED, giving the purpose of research and reviews researched in the text, lecture, and US (NIH.gov) World Health Organization etc. This leads to an understanding and summary of the material while citing the journal, websites etc.

Go through the Method providing information about HIV, participants, procedures, and design to maintain interest. I also try my best to pretend the audience has no clue as to topic and formally write out any term I may normally abbreviate.

The conclusion is critical offering a discussion, interpretation, theories, and implications of the research, possible applications, with a SUPPORTED HYPOTHESES in the ORIGINAL Introduction Paragraph.

State why or why not the hypothesis or subject matter is supported. Using a citation here from a journal is a tool pertinent to show unbiased medical documentation.
