Chinese Businesses

write an essay (1000 words) about his/her own understandings about this question – how do you see a classic management theory/framework or a traditional management practice being used in Chinese businesses, and is there anything unique in the Chinese businesses that you think can be added to the existing theory/framework/practice?

To answer this question, students are expected to select ONE classic management theory or framework in other modules / traditional management practice used in home country and briefly explain the theory/framework/practice (2~300 words), and then use your learning of this module to illustrate how you see this theory/practice being applied and adapted in the Chinese business context and what you see unique in the Chinese businesses that can contribute to the further development of the existing theory/framework/practice – please use evidence to support your argument (7~800 words).
VERY VERY IMPORTANT: AVOID PLAGIARISM. All quotations must be indicated in the text, and the reference cited both in the text and bibliography.
When marking the Individual Report, I will use some or all of the following criterion:
i. Good understanding of ONE theory/framework/practice.
ii. Strong evidence and logical arguments.
iii. Critical thinking of the existing theory/framework.
iv. Extra points will be given if you can identify unique contribution to the existing theory/framework based on solid evidence and logical arguments.
v. Academic references (when the information is not your own).
